A PRINCESS STORY

LEADING BRITISH LUXURY YACHT MANUFACTURER SUPPORTS MARINE CONSERVATION SOCIETY TOGETHER WITH SEABOB

This August, Princess Yachts will become the first luxury yacht manufacturer to officially collaborate with the Marine Conservation Society, helping the charity to support and sustain marine environments for future generations. Together with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and Seabob (CAYAGO AG), the UK’s leading luxury yacht builder has initiated an awareness campaign spearheaded by the production of an illustrated children’s storybook, aiming to highlight the importance of marine conservation to a new audience. Proceeds from its sales are going directly to the charity.

The book, entitled ‘Enid & Her Magic Yacht’, connects with a future generation, appealing to Princess customers who consider family time exceptionally important when aboard their yachts. Illustrated by renowned artist Jaume Vilardell, the story teaches compassion and social awareness with an exciting tale of a little girl aboard a superyacht who encounters wonderful sea creatures and saves the day during a volcanic eruption.

Additionally, building on a previously successful partnership with renowned high performance water toy specialists CAYAGO AG, the two brands have developed a new “Volcano” limited edition F5 S Seabob. The imaginative artwork from the children’s book creates a unique product that can be enjoyed by the entire family, while further supporting the instrumental work conducted by MCS.

As a zero emissions device, Seabob was an obvious fit for this creation. Peter Walpurgis, CEO of CAYAGO, commented: “We can’t stress enough the importance of preserving marine environments, as it is both ours and Princess’ playground. The main objective of our cooperation with Princess is to use our global presence and customer network within the maritime sector to gain further support for the Marine Conservation Society. For every ‘Seabob Volcano edition’ sold, we will donate 345.00 Euros directly to the Marine Conservation Society.”

Alongside this campaign, Princess has established an understanding with MCS to ensure that only sustainable seafood is served at all of their official events. Princess is committed to working closely with the charity to further develop its current standing as a conscientious and quality assured manufacturer.

Kiran Haslam, Marketing Director for Princess Yachts, said: “In accordance with ISO 14001, Resin Infusion, EU timber regulations, and PEFC chain of custody, we are undoubtedly on the right path of sustainable manufacturing, but there are always ways for continuous improvement. Our partnership with MCS will facilitate a close interaction with a network of dedicated marine experts to really help change the course of modern boat building.”

Mike Crossley, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at the Marine Conservation Society adds: “We are delighted to be partnering with both of these industry leaders to protect the marine environment. However, you love the sea, in it, on it, under it, or by it, by supporting MCS you are part of a movement to reduce marine litter, protect wildlife and habitats, and are helping to preserve our seas for future generations.”

‘Enid & Her Magic Yacht’ is available online at www.princessyachts.com or from online retailer Amazon with all proceeds going to MCS. The limited edition Seabob F5 S “Volcano,” is available through Princess distributors or via www.seabob.com.
