The glamorous kick-off is the Modebusiness (Fashion Business) Award ceremony in the Dreischeibenhaus on January 26, 2019. For the fifth year now at the CPD, Fashion Net will honor a trendsetter in Düsseldorf’s fashion business with the Modebusiness Award.
At this year’s summer event, Fashion Net Düsseldorf turns ten, which means ten years of high-level dedication to this top fashion location plus an extra helping of enthusiasm. To make sure Düsseldorf can offer buyers concentrated, smooth ordering operations, new digital services have now been developed once again for the January edition. The rotating Fashion Net shuttle providing over 7500 rides per season has been supplemented by a rickshaw service on Kaiserswerther Straße - move on to your next destination with no waiting. Hostesses in stylish Marc Cain outfits help trade-fair visitors orient themselves and, if necessary, explain the Fashion Net app’s practical service functions, such as simplifying the planning of order routes. With 40% of buyers visiting up to 20 showrooms and another 31% seeing up to 40, well-functioning logistics are a must.
At this year-round fashion hub, the Fashion Net app and the Fashion Net website are the essential information tools for all distributors and manufacturers, for trade fairs and brands as well as for events and news. They supply the fashion world up-to-the-minute with all the relevant information needed. Only one year after the app and the new website were launched, access numbers have doubled. The Fashion Net app has also been updated: starting now, many areas and categories can be viewed and used without registering, enabling access for the growing number of fashion fans and others interested in the business. Options such as planning routes to individual showrooms as well as scheduling and brand overviews during the CPD Ordering Days are still available via the quick login access for subscribers.

We continue to register many new brands and showrooms as well as inquiries for new trade fairs and events. Every tenth euro of Germany’s total turnover in fashion is realized here in Düsseldorf - and that’s the way it should stay,” according to Mayor Thomas Geisel, who has now made fashion in Düsseldorf his top priority.
Even more fashion, even more business
“This fashion location is growing! We have now integrated fashion centers in Neuss into our network, so that aside from our trade fair events, the showrooms will be served and involved even more strongly,” says Angelika Firnrohr, managing director of Fashion Net Düsseldorf e.V. With three large trade-fair events, numerous smaller order platforms and with about 670 showrooms all over the city and in the Media Harbor, Düsseldorf offers an extensive overview of the collections.
International fashion metropolis
Especially during the CPD, Düsseldorf casts a spell over the international fashion sector. Numerous prestigious labels present their newest collections and top international brands at the trade fairs Gallery, Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf and DATE or in their own showrooms.
The Igedo sister fairs Gallery and Gallery SHOES will also take place this year in the halls at the Areal Böhler and present the newest fashion trends to buyers along with shoes and accessories. In the “Alte Schmiedehalle” panels of experts will analyze coming trends, rounding off the program.
Supreme Women&Men continues to occupy three floors at Bennigsen-Platz 1 and opens its doors from January 26 to 29 for interested fashion experts. In line with being progressive and international, the order platform will also present over 25 new labels. Included among further upgrades is the tent landscape, called Supreme Homebase, in the area in front of the B1 location that offers VIP buyers, bloggers and the press an additional platform.
A variety of side events, panel discussions and parties hosted by different organizers provide support to the CPD Ordering Days in January of 2019 and offer national and international visitors the opportunity to network and do business.
The upcoming CPD dates are already set: The spring/summer edition 2020 will take place July 20 - 22, 2019.
