HEMA celebrates store-opening in Mannheim

A colorful world full of lifestyle and inspiration

Last week HEMA opened their first store on Mannheim´s most popular shopping street. The official ribbon cutting was completed by Richard Flint, International Director HEMA, Jan Mordang, Verkaufsleiter HEMA Deutschland, and Dr. Ulrike Freundlieb, Major of Dezernates III. This was followed by countless customers interested in the various products and opening-deals that were offered.

A wide range of Products, unique designs straight from Amsterdam and easily recognizable style of patterns and motifs – that’s what HEMA stands for. It is a multicultural design-concept from the Netherlands which products have been developed with love in Amsterdam for over 90 years. This Dutch concept has been easily adapted in Germany. HEMA´s department stores have been successfully distributed throughout Germany, from Cologne to Frankfurt, Berlin and Stuttgart and have now, with Mannheim´s store, reached a total number of 18 branches all over Germany.

Mannheim´s opening shows the broad popularity, these characteristic products from the Dutch department stores bring with them. In the upcoming weeks HEMA will open two more stores in Hannover and Oberhausen.

HEMA´s motto “Making the ordinary extraordinary” was experienced by all the customers that came for the various deals and colorful world of products on the opening-day of Mannheim´s new store. The first 100 customers that arrived were given Goodie Bags, filled with various Products from the large brand portfolio. HEMA-Fans were able to take part in a creative photo-promotion and tasting of typical Dutch snacks while trendy DJ-sounds were playing.
