Kunstverein 701 is delighted to announce the addition of two new members to its board. Dorothée von Posadowsky and Selim Varol were unanimously elected by the general meeting and will strengthen the six-member board team in the coming years.
Dorothee von Posadowsky (Head of the E.ON Art Collection) and Selim Varol (collector, known for his Wonderwall exhibition at the NRW Forum, trendy restaurateur) have been associated with the Kunstverein 701e.V. for many years and are already actively involved in promoting young art in their local area. "Both personalities are a great enrichment for the board of 701 and will advance our strategic topics such as members and networking," says Dr. Michael Leistikow, Chairman of 701 e.V.
The prospect of now also volunteering on the board excites both of them. "Kunstverein 701 does important work for the young art scene in Düsseldorf. I'm looking forward to working with the great team and developing creative ideas," says Dorothee von Posadowsky, commenting on her election to the board.
The 20th anniversary of Kunstverein 701 is coming up in 2025. "We are now working hard on an exciting programme and we already have some concrete ideas," says Selim Varol. 701 e.V. promotes young artists and organizes exhibitions in a variety of locations. It is particularly exciting for the artists to work in a space and not in a white cube.
