BREUNINGER INVITES YOU TO THE AUTUMN-WINTER 2025/26 SEASON OPENING IN DÜSSELDORF
Breuninger Düsseldorf kicked off the autumn season in style on Friday with this year's Season Opening. Under the motto ‘Read my Style’, current fashion trends meet literary voices and individual forms of expression until tonight. Visitors can expect a multifaceted programme with fashion shows, music and special culinary experiences in and around the Breuninger building. The event is open to the public.
Following last year's success, the 180-metre-long open-air catwalk next to the Breuninger flagship store is back. The location symbolises the transformation of the city centre: a new, modern shopping world has emerged, particularly around Schadowstraße and Joachim-Erwin-Platz, which is now unfolding its full character.
A total of seven fashion shows will be presented this year, including exclusive presentations by Luisa Cerano on Friday and Marc Cain on Saturday – with 600 front row seats. The programme will be hosted by Andreas Rebbelmund and David Zimmermann, the managing directors of Breuninger Düsseldorf, as well as television presenter Stephanie Brungs.
"With this year's season opening, we are sending a signal for the connection between fashion and literature: two worlds that both tell stories and inspire in their own way. Düsseldorf as a city is changing, and we are delighted to make this change visible with our event," explains Andreas Rebbelmund, Managing Director of Breuninger Düsseldorf. "Our guests can look forward to a weekend of exclusive highlights that underline the special character of our city and our store."
A varied supporting programme with numerous activities, live music and culinary delights: Creative stations such as Secco bars in the building, an emo campaign with artists creating portraits or personalised products, and a Golden Goose customisation campaign invite visitors to join in. DJ sets at Eduard's will set the right mood.
Culinary delights are provided by Sansibar by Breuninger, Frische Paradies and Golden Circle, among others, complemented by an ice cream van, macarons from the Breuninger Confiserie, the Coffee Bike and signature drinks from Eduard's Bar, a cocktail bar and the Nicolas Feuillatte champagne stand. Another highlight is the literary campaign staging, which
is visually evident not only on the catwalk but also in the building: the combination of fashion and language inspires and invites reflection.
