Big rush at first Beauty + Health Summit by DOUGLAS in Düsseldorf | Opening of luxury store on the 'Kö'

This weekend, Düsseldorf's Königsallee was dedicated to beauty and health: In addition to the opening of the new luxury store with professional beauty suite on the 'Kö', Europe's leading provider of premium beauty and health hosted the first Beauty + Health Summit by DOUGLAS. During the two-day conference, customers had the opportunity to experience the latest trends and innovations in longevity, healthy nutrition, skin care, sleep and hair loss. A total of 40 experts and doctors shared their expertise in entertaining panel talks, workshops and master classes.
"A clear goal of our Beauty + Health Summit was to bring our customers closer to the interplay of beauty and health - and we more than succeeded," says Tina Müller, CEO DOUGLAS Group. "Thanks to our great experts*, our customers* had the opportunity to learn, experience and try out - and all this in two great locations. I am very happy that we were also able to celebrate the opening of our new luxury store on the 'Kö' during the Summit."

Concentrated expertise: Visitors go home with solutions
For the 2,000 visitors, Nina Ruge took them on the trail of immortality, renowned doctors shared their knowledge on (preventive) treatment of hair loss, remedies for insomnia, the latest findings in cell biology, talked about minimally invasive interventions and revealed the secret of dental rejuvenation. In addition, visitors gained comprehensive insights into forward-looking skin care trends, including from Dr. Barbara Sturm, a specialist in aesthetic anti-aging treatments.

"The Beauty + Health Summit by DOUGLAS was not about submitting to the dictates of beauty," says Nina Ruge, who took visitors on the trail of immortality as part of her opening keynote. "Right at the beginning, we discussed the important topic of how we can not only give our lives more years, but give the years more life and thus health. Because the fact is: nutrition, sport, sleep, breathing - all these lifestyle factors have a direct influence on our quality of life, lifespan and radiance, according to the latest findings in cell research. The Summit has provided a perfect setting for the topic of longevity and thus the quest for holistic beauty." Judith Williams spoke with star photographer GABO in a session about today's beauty ideals: "For me, beauty stands for authenticity and self-love instead of perfection and youth mania. Inner and outer beauty are inseparable, because only those who also represent the right values, are positive towards their fellow human beings and love themselves are also beautiful on the outside."

In addition to the presentations, visitors were able to experience the latest trends and innovations directly: Numerous beauty and health partners of DOUGLAS, including Dr. Hauschka, Shiseido, Biossance, Keys Soulcare, BABOR, Tomorrowlabs, QMS, MINT by Dr. Mintcheva, #INNERBEAUTY, Dr. Susanne von Schmiedeberg, La Prairie and Lancôme used their products to illustrate how individual beauty and health can be promoted. The workshops were all about skin, hair and health - from smoothie power for the skin to wow brows by Anastasia Beverly Hills as well as exclusive make-up and hair styling tips from renowned stylists such as Michael Mayer, Oliver Schmidt and Serena Goldenbaum.

In keeping with the Beauty + Health Summit, DOUGLAS also celebrated the opening of its new luxury store with professional beauty suite at Königsallee 78 over the weekend. Spacious, thematically divided theme, brand and product worlds extend over two floors with around 900 square meters. "With this store, we are creating a new dimension of brand experiences that are truly unique in this form," says Nicole Nitschke, DOUGLAS CEO DACH. "The cabin concept is unique, our customers can look forward to a top-class brand portfolio and individual luxury treatments." For the opening ceremony on Friday evening, international Netflix star and Gisada Brand Ambassador Michele Morrone came for an exclusive meet & greet; DJ David Puentez spun afterwards. German model Rebecca Mir, presenter Frauke Ludowig, Let's Dance stars Renata and Valentin Lusin, and numerous other familiar faces also celebrated the new beauty presence on Königsallee.
