The Kö-Bogen, the pulsating heart of Düsseldorf, heralds the start of the outdoor season! With familiar public events, but also with new formats and exciting collaborations, it brings the city to life and offers a varied program of dance, enjoyment, music and culture.
April
The open-air season kicked off on April 11 with a brand new format, "Hanami am Kö-Bogen by Little Tokyo". Visitors can expect a top-class culinary experience - traditional Japanese food and drinks in cooperation with the popular Japanese food specialists Takumi. The WAGAKU MIYABI ensemble will bring traditional music to the stage in authentic Far Eastern style with koto and shinobue. The performance will be accompanied by a Japanese "cherry blossom" promotion. In addition, the Kö-Bogen invites you to a free photography workshop tour with professional photographer Andreas Endermann at 13:00, where expert tips on perspectives, points of view and technique will be given.
May
Another highlight for dance enthusiasts are the established open-air dance events "Tango am Kö-Bogen" and "Salsa am Kö-Bogen". In cooperation with the renowned Tanzhaus NRW, this year's event series starts with a salsa opening on May 2. From 18:00, interested parties have the opportunity to take part in a free introduction to the respective dance style before the official dance night with DJ starts at 19:00. These dance evenings will take place once a month on Mondays for tango and Thursdays for salsa up to and including September.
The new event format "Sunset & Networking by Kö-Bogen" promises to be the perfect after-work meeting place once a month from May 16. With deckchairs, stalls, drinks, food and chill-out sounds from popular DJs, the Kö-Bogen invites you to wind down after work. Another new special feature: a photo box will be available free of charge so that visitors can capture memories with their loved ones.
June
Music lovers can look forward to the "Lovebird" music festival on June 7, where various genres will be presented on an open-air stage . The Kö-Bogen supports this new festival alongside the Sparda-Bank West Foundation for Art, Culture and Social Affairs.
The event format "Kö-Bogen - Live on Stage" celebrates its premiere on June 13. In collaboration with local musicians and bands, concerts and live performances will take place at the "Uecker Nagel" artwork.
July
DFD special: As part of the Düsseldorf Fashion Days, the Kö-Bogen also offers the exclusive event format "Sunset & Networking by Kö-Bogen" on a Saturday, promising a unique mix of relaxation and urban flair.
