Dr Stefanie Häfele Strengthens WELEDA Pharma: Co-Chief Pharma Officer Marketing & Sales assumes strategic responsibility in the growing pharmaceutical division
WELEDA AG is strengthening its pharmaceutical business and expanding its Executive Management Team: since March 2026, Dr Stefanie Häfele has been serving as Co-Chief Pharma Officer Marketing & Sales. Together with Dr Mónica Mennet-von Eiff, she forms the new dual leadership team of the Pharma Division.
With this appointment, WELEDA underscores the strategic importance of its pharmaceutical business, which will increasingly focus on growth and selected therapeutic areas. Particular emphasis will be placed on the OTC sector and the further development of effective natural therapies.
WELEDA Pharma stands for a holistic approach to health “from nature’s pharmacy”, combining natural remedies with scientific knowledge – a guiding principle that has shaped the company since its foundation. At the heart of this approach is integrative medicine, which combines conventional medical treatments with complementary natural therapies. The aim is to view people as a whole and, alongside treating symptoms, to actively support self-healing processes while taking individual life circumstances into account.
“WELEDA Pharma is an important part of modern integrative medicine. We provide effective natural therapies and preventive healthcare solutions that bring body, mind and spirit into harmony,” says Dr Häfele, who brings extensive experience in marketing and sales as well as deep OTC expertise. Throughout her career, she has successfully built new structures, driven organisational development and sustainably advanced established brands. Most recently, as Commercial Director at Jean d’Arcel Cosmetique, she led the transformation of a long-established brand.
Dr Häfele began her professional career in 2007 at Pierre Fabre as Medical Manager in Switzerland. Over the following years, she held a variety of leadership positions in Medical Marketing, Scientific Affairs and orphan drugs. From 2014 to 2021, she headed Dermatology Marketing in Germany, successfully building both dermatology brands and an OTC field sales team. She subsequently joined Omega Pharma (Perrigo), where from 2021 to 2023 she was responsible for Marketing across the DACH region, managing a broad portfolio of healthcare and self-care brands.
Dr Stefanie Häfele studied Food Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart and Pharmacy at the University of Freiburg, where she completed her doctorate in Pharmaceutical Technology. In addition to her expertise in marketing and sales, she has extensive experience in establishing plant-based dermocosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
With its new leadership structure and the targeted strengthening of marketing and sales capabilities, WELEDA is sending a clear signal regarding the continued expansion of its pharmaceutical business within the field of integrative medicine.
