Fashion Business Award 2026: LFDY honoured for outstanding entrepreneurial achievement Second edition, strong growth: line-up doubles

The Düsseldorf streetwear label LFDY – Live Fast Die Young was presented with the Fashion Net Fashion Business Award 2026 on Sunday evening. With this award, the state capital of Düsseldorf and Fashion Net Düsseldorf e.V. recognise outstanding entrepreneurial achievement in the fashion industry and the special significance of the company for Düsseldorf as a fashion location.

From Düsseldorf start-up to international streetwear brand

LFDY was founded in Düsseldorf in 2013 and has developed from an independent, self-determined approach into one of the strongest German streetwear brands. Starting out in a backyard in Düsseldorf-Flingern, the company now operates eight stores in European cities – from London and Paris to Amsterdam – under the leadership of founder and chief executive Lorenz Amend. What began as an independent project has developed over the years into what it is today through consistent decisions, organic growth and close ties to the community.

With the expansion of its own stores, international growth and a strong digital presence, LFDY laid the foundation for sustainable growth. In doing so, the company always remained close to the community and its own identity. Authenticity and independence are at the heart of all activities. Today, LFDY has a presence far beyond Germany and is considered one of the most influential streetwear brands – with clear origins in Düsseldorf.
