French café concept moves into Düsseldorf's treasury department

The Düsseldorf treasury is getting a new addition with French flair: La Maison du Pain, a café and bistro concept that focuses on authentic patisserie, bakery shop and bistro, will move into the listed building on the market square in the fourth 2025 in the listed building on the market square. The brand's first Düsseldorf location will be created on approximately 450 m² of rental space
spread over three floors, with special areas offering a direct view of the town hall. The concept is based on the idea of a café and bistro that combines the best of both worlds: a place where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry, or a meal with friends and family.

Founded in 2003, the company combines artisanal production with high-quality ingredients and authentic recipes. Since establishing itself as a franchise concept in 2015, La
Maison du Pain now operates eight locations in Germany, including Hamburg, Frankfurt and Cologne. The range includes classics such as baguettes, croissants, quiches, tarts and éclairs.

"The lease by La Maison du Pain not only enhances the use of the ground floor of the Kämmerei, but also contributes to the revitalisation and diversity of the entire building. It is particularly pleasing that the gastronomic concept actively takes into account the character of the listed building and incorporates it into its design," says Arne Hilbert, Managing Director and Head of NRW at Art-Invest Real Estate.

"With the location in Düsseldorf, we are tapping into a new market for us, and the Kämmerei offers the ideal environment for this. We are looking forward to this step and to welcoming our guests to the heart of the old town with French culinary culture in the future," says Marine Issakhanyan, franchisee of the Düsseldorf location.

With this latest lease, the Kämmerei is continuing to develop into an inner-city location for working, shopping and dining. In addition to La Maison du Pain, the law firm Dr. Ganteführer, Marquardt & Partner and the concept store Kauf Dich Glücklich have already leased space in the historic building complex.
