German Brand Award 2026: Tertianum sets the benchmark in premium senior living
Tertianum receives German Brand Award 2026
The Tertianum brand has been honoured as a Winner in the "Excellent Brands – Real Estate & Property" category at the German Brand Award 2026. The award recognises the long-term development of a premium senior living brand that, for more than 25 years, has been regarded as Germany's most exclusive operator and one of the industry's pioneers.
Initiated by the German Design Council, the German Brand Award is among the most prestigious accolades for brand management in the German-speaking market. Winners are selected by an independent jury comprising experts from business, academia, communications, brand strategy and culture.
Tertianum is a brand of the DPF Group, headquartered in Berlin, and represents a holistic approach to longevity. Combining high-quality residences with personalised services, exceptional dining, cultural experiences and tailored support, Tertianum offers a lifestyle designed for people in later life who wish to remain active, enjoy cultural opportunities and continue participating in society. With residences in Berlin, Munich and Konstanz, the brand is committed to enabling residents to maintain their independence and self-determination for as long as possible.
"For us, Tertianum is a true love brand. People make a conscious decision to choose one of our residences because they find a home that genuinely suits them. Seeing our residents identify with the brand and place their trust in us is something we are incredibly proud of. Ultimately, that is the greatest recognition we could receive," says Felix von Braun, Managing Partner of the DPF Group.
The brand's journey began with the opening of the first Tertianum Residence in Konstanz in late 1999. Today, the portfolio includes Tertianum Premium Residences and Tertianum Suites across several locations. The guiding principle, "Life Knows No Age", continues to shape the brand strategy. Over the past 25 years, more than 1,500 residents have chosen Tertianum as their home.
Over the years, the DPF Group has continuously evolved the Tertianum brand. This includes intergenerational initiatives such as "Student in Residence" and the "Generations Dinner", cultural programmes featuring several thousand artists, and partnerships with renowned collaborators including Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue. Together, these initiatives reflect Tertianum's vision of senior living as an environment centred on openness, cultural engagement and meaningful participation.
A total of 1,676 projects from 18 countries were submitted for the German Brand Award 2026. The awards ceremony took place on 25 June 2026 at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin. Felix von Braun, Managing Partner of the DPF Group, and Amelie Drews, Director of Marketing & PR, accepted the award on behalf of the DPF Group.
