awsum has a new owner as of 01.03.24. The reason: Schwitzke wants to concentrate exclusively on expanding its core business, consisting of the brand agency, the planning office and the general contractor. The focus will be on building construction and urban development as well as increased expansion in the Middle East. As part of this focus, Schwitzke is parting with the concept store for urban mobility with a heavy heart and has sold it to the Cologne-based bicycle company Radfieber.
"We had a lot of fun setting up our store and were able to gain valuable experience. However, we have now found the right partner to take the business even further," explains Karl Schwitzke, Managing Director of the Schwitzke Group. "Radfieber is an experienced bicycle expert who shares exactly the same passion for special bicycles as we do."
"We are delighted to have the great opportunity to take over such an established location and thus continue our expansion. The fact that we fit together is already evident in our product portfolio: We stock well-known brands such as Schindelhauer and Desiknio, as well as brand new Brompton folding bikes, which will enrich the business," explains Marcel Jansen, company owner Radfieber. "The team in Düsseldorf-Flingern remains unchanged. And the opening will be celebrated on 02.03.24 from 15:00. Everyone is cordially invited to Herrmannstraße. We are looking forward to it!"
