The Cradle: Full rental in sustainable lighthouse project

- World-leading strategic communications consultancy FGS Global becomes renter
- Full occupancy one year before completion

The pioneering project The Cradle, designed according to the cradle-to-cradle principle, is fully rented - and already one year before its completion. FGS Global, a consultancy specializing in strategic communications and reputation management, has leased over 2,600 square meters of office space in the sustainable office building in Düsseldorf's MedienHafen. The globally active consultancy will move into the premises at Speditionstraße 2 on the upper floors, which in addition to the office space also have a spacious roof terrace with a view of the harbor basin, shortly after completion of the project in mid-2023.

"We are delighted to have won FGS Global, not only a very renowned and globally successful company, for our project, but also a renter who identifies 100 percent with the concept and idea of The Cradle," says Carsten Boell, Managing Director of INTERBODEN Innovative Gewerbewelten. "The early full occupancy of The Cradle, one year before completion, proves to us that the future lies in such sustainable real estate concepts," sums up Andreas Willms, commercial project manager of The Cradle.

Dirk von Manikowsky, partner at FGS Global in Düsseldorf, commented: "The idea of The Cradle immediately excited us and fits perfectly with our own claim to be a climate-neutral company. Sustainability and the challenges of ESG also play a crucial role for our clients - from strategy development to reputation-critical issues. Our team can hardly wait to develop the answers to these in the future in this inspiring working atmosphere. We are impressed with how much heart and soul INTERBODEN is putting into this project and are very much looking forward to the partnership ahead."

FGS Global was founded by the merger of the consulting firms Hering Schuppener, the British company Finsbury, and the American communications consultants Glover Park Group and Sard Verbinnen, and employs around 1,200 consultants in the world's most important business centers and metropolises. In Germany, the company has offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. In the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, the company is currently located on Berliner Allee in the city center.

BNP Paribas Real Estate acted in an advisory capacity for the lease between INTERBODEN and FGS Global. BNP Paribas Real Estate was already exclusively commissioned with the marketing of the property and has already brokered the coworking provider Spaces as an anchor tenant.
