WELEDA x Stella McCartney: Paris Fashion Week
Skin Food: 100 years of loving skin
During this year’s Paris Fashion Week, WELEDA will be ensuring radiant skin backstage at the Stella McCartney show on 4 March: the make-up artists will be relying specifically on the proven nourishing properties of the WELEDA Skin Food range for the runway models, to prepare the skin perfectly for make-up and create a natural glow.
“WELEDA is a wonderful brand that has always remained true to its natural, ethical and sustainable values, without chasing after short-lived trends – I admire that greatly, and I particularly love Skin Food. My own brand has also always remained true to its core principles. That’s why it means so much to me to work with a company that demonstrates that integrity and consistency can go hand in hand,” says designer Stella McCartney.
100 Years of the WELEDA Skin Food Family
Launched in 1926, Skin Food is one of the few skincare products to have remained relevant for over a century. What began as an intensely nourishing cream for dry and stressed skin has evolved into an internationally acclaimed classic that is firmly established among make-up artists, models and personalities from the worlds of fashion and culture – from the runway to the front row. The formula, containing pansies, calendula, chamomile, rosemary and sunflower oil, provides intensive care and gives the skin its characteristic Skin Food glow.
Shared values: sustainability and responsibility
The collaboration with Stella McCartney underscores the shared ethos of both brands: responsible business practices, innovative approaches and a clear commitment to sustainability. For years, Stella McCartney has stood for cruelty-free luxury fashion and the use of sustainable materials, whilst WELEDA, with its NATRUE-certified natural cosmetics, relies on natural, organically grown ingredients. The packaging of the WELEDA Skin Food Family is also designed to be recyclable.
“Skin Food has been a part of people’s lives for 100 years and remains an indispensable companion for many make-up artists. It is special to be celebrating this anniversary at Paris Fashion Week together with Stella McCartney and to show just how well sustainable fashion and natural cosmetics go hand in hand,” said Tina Müller, CEO of WELEDA.
To mark the anniversary year of the WELEDA Skin Food Family, the collaboration between WELEDA and Stella McCartney highlights a product that embodies consistency, relevance and natural beauty.
